Brioche knitting is a technique of using two colours to create a squishy ribbed fabric that looks different on either side.
In this single 2-hour session we will learn how to do the brioche knit and brioche purl, as well as a two colour long tail cast-on and get stared on a first brioche project, a scarf.
We will start with a swatch to learn and practice the new technique, then before the end of the class we will cast on to begin the scarf.
The pattern is a free Ravelry download available here: BEBEB Scarf

Learning Outcomes: knit two colour brioche flat.

Required Skills: intermediate level knitter.

Required Materials: 100g each of worsted weight yarn in two contrasting colours (a light and dark colour), 5mm 24″ circular needles.
These materials are *NOT* included with the price of the class and must be purchased separately before the class starts.

Another great skill building course by Sarah-Margaret. She made what felt like an intimidating skill very understandable and manageable. I look forward to an advanced brioche class after I have some time to practice!
