Learn to Knit at Second Voyage Vintage
Wednesday, November 30th 7-9pm
at Second Voyage Vintage,
734 Queen Street East
For many of us, there was a maternal figure who was knitter, a grandmother making you sweaters and slippers full of love. For others there is no family connection, but you’ve heard that it is supposed to be relaxing, or you are someone who loves to craft and try new things. Whatever your attraction to knitting, now is the time to join the droves of people picking up needles for the first time over the past few years.
If you have never knit before and you’d like to start, or if you would like a refresher to get you back into knitting, this is the class for you. Everything you need for your first project is included: needles, yarn, and a pattern.
In class we will get started on your very first knitting project! We will be knitting a dishcloth together and by the end of the class you will have all the skills to finish the dishcloth and then you will be ready to start your next project.
As well as the materials mentioned above, you will also be provided with a handout on how to knit that you can reference after the class, and a pattern for a pair of fingerless mittens.
